Databases which can be searched via the dialogue windows below include the SA Newspaper Deaths Index, the SA Cemeteries Index and the SA Government Gazette Index. These Indexes are Finding-Aids to the records on the Society’s library computers and in the Society Library.

SA Cemeteries
The following searchable database will enable users to access Society records of burials in cemeteries in South Australia.

SA Lonely Graves
The following searchable database will enable users to access
known lonely grave sites in South Australia.
The Society thanks Graham Jaunay, the compiler and copyright owner, for granting permission to use this material.
To find more information about the grave you need to either:
• purchase the CD from our bookshop, or.
• visit the Society library and access the CD, or.
• visit the Society library and check the Lone Graves folder.
The
version contained herein has been updated to 18 Dec 2003. Entries
marked N (new) or U (updated) can only be accessed
by contacting the compiler
via his own web site.
Entries marked P indicate a photo is available on the CD.
The example shown is of Peter FAGAN's grave which is 15.4 km north
of Wearing Gorge road junction on east side of the Balcanoona
road (Lat 30.72 Long 139.34). FAGAN died of thirst 1 Jan 1874
(GRO Ref: Bk 55 p422).
