 National Family History Week
The Society is participating in National Family History Week including the "Unlock The Past" EXPO on 30-31 July at the West Adelaide Function Centre (Football Club) 57 Milner Rd Richmond. See details regarding the EXPO on www.unlockthepast.com.au.
Society Open Day
 The Society is to have an Open Day on Sunday 1st August 2010 as part of its involvement in the National Family History Week affho.org and familyhistoryweek.org.au/EventsSA.htm. This is a great opportunity to visit the library and see what the Society has to offer to assist you in your research.

SA BDM Certificate Price Increase
The cost of birth, death and marriage certificates for South Australia has increased to $41.00 each from 1st July 2010. Please visit www.ocba.sa.gov.au/bdm/fees.html for more information.
More Online Database Subscription Services
The Society is gradually building on the range of on-line database subscription services being offered on the Society Library computer network to complement the invaluable Ancestry.com.au worldwide research material. Access is now being provided to Origins.net (British and Irish), FindMyPast.co.uk (United Kingdom) and theGenealogist.co.uk (British). As an additional benefit, the Society has removed the fee which used to be charged for the use of the computers (and also the microfiche/film readers).
